Welcome to the first World Wide Web Site Dedicated solely to the Identification and Preservation of Watt Pottery. Watt Pottery On Line was first published in March of 1995 and has undergone many changes over the years. This lastest revision (April 2006) adds many new features that I have been working on for years. Even after eleven years it remains a 'work in progress'. Is it true that a carpenters home is never finished?
A very special thank-you to Theresa for initially sharing your love and enthusiasm of Watt Pottery and your tolerance over these many years that has allowed all this to happen..You are truly the love of my life.
The Watt Pottery On Line Pattern Finder is divided into three separate levels of web pages that are dynamically generated by an extensive network of 'off line' Data Bases. Click on the 'Pattern Finder' tab (located on the top navigation bar - next to Community), to view pictures of the 100+ Watt patterns identified so far.
The Pattern Find has it's own Navigation Buttons (located in the left frame) that allow you to select only the pictures from your favorite Pattern Grouping. By clicking on the 'Banded Ware' button (for example), the right frame is redrawn with all the banded ware patterns.
Hold your mouse over any of the Pattern Gallery pictures and the name of the pattern will appear. Click on any of the picture and you will be directed to the dedicated Pattern Page. Initially some of the patterns are grouped together - Eventually all Patterns will have their own pages.
By clicking on the pictures in the Market Value section of the Pattern Page, you will be directed to the Market Value page. Each pattern has its own Market Value page!!!
The Mold Finder is now fully functional!!
Simply click on the Green 'Mold Finder' navigation button on the top of this page - OR any of the light blue mold headers contained on the Pattern Market value pages - to take you to a complete listing of ALL Watt Pottery pieces found in a particular mold shape.
Kindly take a minute to ivestage this new feature - It has been a dream of mine for years - now it is a reality. Enjoy.
This is a brand new feature and is a TRUE on-line Collectors Community where Collectors can meet our collectors. Collectors are encouraged to share anything and everything Watt Pottery related.
Simply click on the Green 'Community' navigation button on the top of this page.
We (as a community) are attempting to compile and maintain a comprehensive Market Value for every piece produced by The Watt Pottery - including a picture for each piece!! Wow, is this possible? The quick answer is - not without every collectors help..
Please submit a picture (jpg format prefered - most formats acceptable) along
with a brief discription (including diameter, height, and approximate value
- if not shown on the Market Value pages) to: webmaster@wattcollectors.com.
